Teaser Tuesday 10

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB @Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  •  BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My Teaser:

"I'll drive as fast as I can, but it's still going to take at least a half an hour to get there," his dad said in a panic as he raced out of the school parking lot and back down the winding mountain road towards the airport."

  3. Interesting. I'm always looking for books for my third grader to read - or ones I can read-aloud to my boys. He reads ahead of his grade level, but I try to avoid any themes of teen-aged angst just yet. This looks great, and I like the cover, too.

Since you are putting up YA, I have to recommend 'The Moin Coin', by Richard Due. My boys absolutely loved it! (I did have to read aloud - the vocabulary and sentence complexity was a bit beyond his eight years!) It was wonderful, though. Nice to meet you! - Moira

  4. I'm curious about why they are in a hurry. My teasers are from The Cowboy Takes a Bride by Lori Wilde and Spellcaster by Cara Lynn Shultz. Happy reading!
