Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB @Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My Teaser:
"I'll drive as fast as I can, but it's still going to take at least a half an hour to get there," his dad said in a panic as he raced out of the school parking lot and back down the winding mountain road towards the airport."
----------------------------Cobble Cavern by Erik Olsen
My daughter just finished this bok and she says she loved it! Here is mine, DEFINITELY not a YA book!
ReplyDeleteLove that teaser! I so need to check this one out - it sounds great! Thank you for sharing! :)

Interesting. I'm always looking for books for my third grader to read - or ones I can read-aloud to my boys. He reads ahead of his grade level, but I try to avoid any themes of teen-aged angst just yet. This looks great, and I like the cover, too.
ReplyDeleteSince you are putting up YA, I have to recommend 'The Moin Coin', by Richard Due. My boys absolutely loved it! (I did have to read aloud - the vocabulary and sentence complexity was a bit beyond his eight years!) It was wonderful, though. Nice to meet you! - Moira
Thank you for the recommendation. I have added it to my list.
DeleteI'm curious about why they are in a hurry. My teasers are from The Cowboy Takes a Bride by Lori Wilde and Spellcaster by Cara Lynn Shultz. Happy reading!
