by Frank L. Cole

Publisher:  Cedar Fort, Inc.
Publication Date:  June 12th 2012
ISBN:  1462110576
Genre:  Middle Grade Action / Adventure
Description:  Just when they thought they were safe, Amber, Trendon and their classmates get yanked back into the action. With the Tebah Stick in enemy hands, Amber becomes a target and it seems even her closest allies can’t be trusted. Now the gang will have to travel through enemy territory to protect a deadly ancient weapon that could cause the earth’s utter destruction.
This thrilling tale ups the action and doubles the danger. Bestselling author, Frank L. Cole delivers an addicting read for adventurers of all ages.
My Thoughts:  What a very entertaining book to read.  I did not read the first book in the series, but still found pleasure in reading this one.  Would I have had a better experience / understanding if I had read the first one? - well yeah.  But, I was still able to enjoy the story.  I hope one day that I can read the first book in the series.

This story was so easy to get into.  The action almost started from page one!  It is a real grabber!!!   Amber has received a mysterious birthday gift, that she suspects comes from her Archaeology teacher.  She gets a phone call in the middle of the night from someone she least expects telling her she is in danger.  And that is how it starts - can you imagine - it only gets better.

Besides the fact that the writing is filled with adventure, keeping the reader on edge throughout - and in such an entertaining way - this book is written in such a way that readers of all ages can pick it up and find something to like.

I found that there were some elements that I would compare to Harry Potter, as well as other Cedar Fort books I have read lately.  However, I think that Frank L. Cole has a writing style that can easily distinguish him from those other authors.  It has almost an addicting quality.

Thank you Cedar Fort for allowing me to take part in this book tour, and thank you Frank L. Cole for writing something that I would be proud to share with my children and students.

About the Author:   Frank L. Cole was born into a family of Southern storytellers and wrote his first book as age eight. Sadly he misplaced the manuscript and has since forgotten what he wrote. Highly superstitious and gullible to a fault, Frank will believe any creepy story you tell him, especially ones involving ghosts and Bigfoot. Currently along with his wife and three children, he resides in the shadow of a majestic western mountain range, which is most likely haunted.
