Each week a new theme for a Top Ten list is posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Post your responses on The Broke and the Bookish along with a comment on their post.  This week the topic is Top Ten Books Of Your Favorite Genre.  My pick this week is historical fiction.

  6. I LOVED Island of the Blue Dolphins when I was younger! Great picks. I've been thinking about reading Between Shades of Gray and I guess I'm going to have to give it a shot.

  9. What a fantastic list. I read Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry dozens of times when I was younger. Powerful book. I did read the first sequel once (aren't there two or three?) many years later, but didn't like it so much. I've read lots of those books, and they're all great.
